Window size change to plans?

Hi I would be most grateful for an answer to my query.

I have approved plans for a 5 bed house. If I wanted to increase the size of a couple of the windows on the front of the house- would I need to resubmit the plans for a approval? Many thanks

No.

The council will class it as either a minor or material amendment. You need to ask them which.

For a minor, you just drop them a few lines and the planner considers it informally.

For material, it's a defined more formal process and they will ask for details, and possibly elevation plans and a site plan, a and consider it over several weeks. There might also be a fee.

I real terms, it will just depend on how much you want to alter the windows.
