Having some builder trouble. I payed a local firm to first fix my windows and doors.
Firstly the underside of the doors have no form of sealant under them so if it rains water gets underneath I would think it would be the same with the windows.(ie no sealant)
Secondly the term first fix. I believed it to mean sealed all the way around making the windows and doors watertight. They just sit in the openings with large gaps all the way around. The installer insists this is first fix because the stonework will be lime pointed and a plasterer will build the lime mortar out from the ingoes.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

hard to comment with no pics but i would want my windows and doors sealed and water tight BEFORE its rendered/plastered if thats whats happening in your case.
