Winter is coming...frozen condensate pipes!

Just a quick heads-up - I was looking round for a way to stop my mum's condensate pipe from freezing up (as per last year)!

A gas installer friend pointed me to one of these ICE valves...

That's a lot of money for something very simple!

Expensive on eBay - about £20 in local plumbing shops in west yorkshire - and I've fit it myself - £19.95 and a worry free winter (cheaper than the £120 she paid out for a plumber to cut the pipe!)- not sure if they're available nationwide though - pm me and ill get one for you!
