wiper banging

How do you stop the wiper banging on top of the bonnet when it goes back down on a Ford Maverick, the drivers side one, goes right down and clacks, it does my head in.................

assuming its on a knurled shaft[lots of grooves] you can take it off rotate one groove re affix repeat as nessesery

You may need to prise off, use a wide blade screwdrive & piece of wood on bonnet, easy job.
