Wireless Media Connectivity

I'm looking for a cheap and tidy way of playing music from my laptop (windows media centre, itunes, spotify etc) through my stereo. I don't want to be limited to using itunes because I don't really like it and would ideally like something cheaper than an airport express.

Any suggestions of the best way of doing this?

You can also use a portable media player plugged straight into your hifi system.
