Thanks for reading, and hopefully I can get some help here.
I recently took on a disaster of a router-DVR-Security system and could use some help.
I will answer questions as i go along because I'm not sure what info is needed to help me solve my problem.
The set up.
Activa router-wireless, DVR, and some security camera's.
I am trying to login in wirelessly so I can get the Q-see camera's working. I did not install the system it was just handed over to me to get working.
When i go to my wireless network to view all, I can see the router. When i try to put in the passphrase given to me (it's 26 letters/numbers) it is too long for the given space.
What i want to do is a master reset and start over.
How can i do this?
It's set up for WEP encryption, but I may switch to WPA or WPA2
Is there a tuturial anywhere for doing this for a DIY'er?
What I want to do is be able to remotely watch the camera's from my house 400 feet away. is this possible at all? And what needs to be added for this to work?
There will be a high speed cable internet connection installed soon. Will there need to be another computer added at location (A) or can I just piggyback the router and watch at the house?
Thanks so much.
