Hi, I wonder if anyone can help with a simple question.

I have 4 independently switched light fittings in a room, on 4 separate dimmers. I would like to have two of the fittings on one switch (the switch has high enough rating for the combined load).

Do I just join the 2 live wires from both fittings and the two switched live wires together and connect both pairs into the Common and L1 connections on a single switch?

Many thanks

Yes, BUT ONLY IF both lights/switches are ON THE SAME CIRCUIT at the consumer unit.

If they are on different circuits (ie more than one fuse or circuit breaker needs to be operated to isolate the power) then you can't do it.
