Got to be honest, I thought it would be easier, but rather than get it wrong or be frustrated, could anyone help with the picture attached.

Think the red wires go into the 2 com sections, but having referenced the previous installation, I'm not sure how the remaining wires fit in. (Previously red & yellow were together, & blue&black were at bottom) there is also an earth connection on the new switch, but looks like there us a separate earth wire already earthed independently from the new switch.

Any help greatly appreciated

For one way shouldn't the A2 wire go to the other terminal to be down for on, or are you intending to fit it "upside down"

Taylor is correct. I hadn't seen that the markings L1 and L2 take into account that one switch terminal layout is upside down compared to that of the switch.

Neither had I seen the markings.

So, Crystal ball is correct, then.
No he’s not. If u look carefully at the back of the switches, you’ll see that one of them is a mirror of the other.
So when using L1 for one way works for the same operation on both halves.

foolproof, for most people

It is correct. The L1&2 are reversed on one half, so that both L1s are made when the levers on both halves are in the same position.
I’m not sure if you are agreeing, or disagreeing with me…
