Hi everyone
My sister in law has a FCU fitted on her downstairs ring main. When i removed the front cover to remove wallpaper from behind it i noticed that 2 lives are in the live in terminal and 2 neutrals in the neutral in terminal with nothing in the live or neutral out terminals. Am i right in thinking that this is bypassing the fuse and could lead to overloading the cable. Should there be a live in and out and neutral in and out, I haven't changed anything as yet just wanted to make sure that my way of thinking was correct.
Thanks

If this FCU is on the ring the two cables you are looking at are the two legs of the ring. From what you describe there used to be something connect to this FCU but it has been disconnected. You might like to change it for a single socket outlet as it could be of more use.
