As the socket is earthed by a wire in the SWA, it doesn't matter what you do with the armour at the shed.

Ok thanks for your ongoing advice, I was hoping they would be the outcome.
At the moment I've just terminated the armour to the earth terminal in the metal backbox in the shed so really I can just cut it off?
You may as well leave it as it is.
