Any help on wiring a new thermostat please.

The old Thermostat is a Drayton RTM

1 = Heating (red wire)
3 = Line (Red Wire)
N = Neutral (Black Wire)
Earth (Green Wire)

The New Thermostat is a Drayton RTS5

wiring says

N
L
1 = Com
2 = Heating Satisfied
3 = Call for Heat

so which wires go where, the instructions say the new thermostat should be easy to fit, but im lost.

any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

If 3(old) Line is the Sw/L from the time switch, then that'll connect to the 1(new) com. Then 1(old) goes to 3(new).

Looks like a new RF room stat, if so you'll a perminent live to L(new)

Just another thought; you are OK with electrics as a little knowledge is a dangerous thing!!!........ :eek:

Isolate electrics first
Line in (supply from CH on at timer), according to you red, to L and 1 (link needed).
The other red, should go to 3 (switched live)
Neutral to neutral.

Make sure the reds are the right way round (supply in and out) as, if the supply comes in to 3 on the new stat it won't work.
