Just changed my old switchmaster programmer for a horstman as old one was faulty.

Reasonably easy job but made a stupid error, when i wrote down the wiring config from old programmer must have missed out a wire.

Managed to fit the new programmer but couldn't work out how to include the room stat, so need some advice.

I have a gravity fed water and pumped heating system, no zones or valves.

the programmer has a total of 9 connectors and the wiring diagram is as follows:

1: earth
2: neutral
3: live
4: timed output hw on
5: live (linked to terminal 3 + 5)
6: timed output hw off
7: timed output ch on
8: live (linked to terminal 5 + 3)
9: timed output ch off

I have wired it up as follows:

1: pump, boiler & supply earth
2: pump, boiler & supply neutral
3: supply live
4: boiler live
5: empty
6: empty
7: pump live
8: empty
9: empty

I am now left with 2 wires coming from the room stat, they start off at the room stat red and black and must change under the floorboards as they come out blue and brown at the boiler end.

Is it ok to run the boiler without a room stat (the way it is presently wired) ?

How do i connect the room stat?

thanks in advance and I hope I've provided enough info to be helped out.

another quick question

I am thinking of fitting an rf room stat as the current location isn't the best, looking at the diagrams on the rf stat it has 3 connections neautral, live and call for heat. How would I wire that one up?
