The only way you can go wrong now is if there is a fourth terminal in your thermostat. I've had a quick look on the internet for data but I can't find any. If there is a fourth one it'll be for the contact that closes when the temperature rises. (You use it for cooling, not heating.) The 1% danger is that somebody has connected the third wire to this one rather than the proper neutral terminal.
