Hi. I need to wire an extension into my existing LJ3/1A BT Master socket so that I can put my router somewhere more convenient.
Can anyone confirm the best way to do this?
My understanding is that only 2 wires from the incoming BT line actually do anything.
From what I've read the capacitor is not needed with modern phones?? is that right?
So the orange goes to terminal 2, and the white goes to terminal 5.
If I then piggy-back my extension line into the same terminals (2 and 5), and run my extension, is that it?
Do I need a slave socket? or a master socket as my extension socket? Presumably a slave will do as the capacitor on the master doesn't do anything anyway??
From what I've read, it would seem so, but it would be great if someone who knows perhaps a little more could confirm my theory.
Thank you in advance for your time.
