we are trying to install a new bosch built-in double oven (hbn56m5.1b) - our problem is that we are unable to see how to connect the power cable to the terminal block within the oven - we have removed the small cover that exposes the terminal block, but cannot find anywhere to make the connections. Our previous zanussi had obvious places to put the copper connectors. - we'd appreciate any help/advice/experience on this

I searched the bosch site for instructions. Couldnt fine any. Search function wasnt working. Anyway, do YOU have instructions?

And can you take a focused photo of the connected block? (Use macro focus on your camera - symbol is a flower)

If its new then u must have an installation manual with it?

Also, I dont believe that model number hbn56m5.1b. Care to check and reveal the correct one?

Can u advise the rating of the cooker (rating plate will be on the door somewhere) and how u are planning to connect it to the electricity supply.

hbn56m551b

Thats the correct model number. It relates to an actual product on Bosch's website, but as I said, the instructions appear to be unavailable.

thanks guys. The bosch "e-number" is hbn56m551b/01 - there is manual on the web site, but it gives no information about electrical connections. We're connecting it via the cable to the spur circuit that was previously used for the zanussi - there is no problem with the cable or circuit - the issues is that we see no way to connect the power conductors to the terminal block.

thanks again for the help

Like I said, a photo would help us to advise immensely.

And please provide a link to the instructions you found - I cant even find the search facility at Bosch now!
