wiring consumer unit

Tell me, how do you go about fitting a new consumer unit if there is no isolator switch from the main power supply?? :D
 
By paying a sparky who knows how to do it safely to change it :wink:
 
You don't... your smiley face will turn into a shocked face pretty sharpish if you try. Get an isolator fitted by your DNO.
 
Or if you are using the Building Control method, ask the electricity supplier to remove the main fuse when you're ready to energise.
 
You could ask your supply company to fit an isolator for you.

IF you do it yourself it is notifiable and they will need to come out to remove/replace the fuses anyway.
