I want to replace my central ceiling light with five mains voltage downlighters. I was expecting to be able to wire these in a loop but the units I have purchased seem to have only the facility for the entry of one cable to the terminal block. What is the correct way to wire these?

Surprised that you cannot fit two 1mm cables in downlighter block. If so I would wire cables to 4 terminal junction box together with switch cable. What ventilation is there for the heat generated?

Thanks for your reply. I suppose I could fit 2 x 1mm circular flex into the block although it's design doesn't seem to encourage this. The ventilation space exceeds the minimum requirements required in the leaflet with the units. The height between floorboards and ceiling being 230mm and width between joists 360mm.
