hi i have 8 flood lights that will be used in the garden with 22w low energy bulbs in. can i wire these in a daisy chain? inside each light is a connector block, would the best way be to wire in and out of these?

thanks

yes, use the right size SWA cable for the breaker and notify the LABC if you're doing it yourself.. ( part P and all that.. )

i should of said, the electrician has wired outside (about 6 foot past the back door under the decking) and from what he has told me there is a connector which i can connect my armoured cable to.

thanks

Could you post a photo of that connector?

It's still notifiable though.

And are the lights designed to take two armoured cable glands?

two gland armoured cable - prob not. what would you advise in using?

the lights are just £5 standard Homebase floodlights, the kind people put on the drives. would i need some kind of connector?
i was thinking of using pond cable in an armoured tubing? is this legal/ok to use. only reason for that would be cheaper to lay and install.

thanks

STOP right now, you obviously don't have a clue, get your sparky back to put them in for you or risk burning down the house or electrocuting the next person to walk up your drive..

You seem confused about what you're going to use.

Bell wire laid on the surface would be cheaper still.

What's important, surely, is safety, not cheapness?

For buried cables I'd advise armoured.

Unlikely to be of stellar quality, or even fit for purpose.

What do they provide for the attachment of cables?
