Wiring in hob and built in oven

New hob and oven arrived, i have 2 sockets underneath, 1 is for a hard wire and 1 is for a plug. The built in oven has a 2.3kw total power whereas the hob with all 4 rings on has a 6.6kw capacity. i take it the oven goes to the socket with a plug and the hob gets wired in. Thanks
