Hi,

I am in the process of installing electric power to my garden shed and pond. I have layed armoured cable and conduit and am now preparing to wire it all up. I have carefully read a DIY book and have a plan for how it will be wired but when I come to purchase the equipment I'm thrown into confusion and doubt as to what I'm doing as I don't seem to be able to get what I want "off-the-shelf".

In particular, the DIY book suggests I run a spur from an internal plug socket, via armoured cable, to the shed where it will be terminated with a 30Amp Switched Fuse Unit - I am struggling to find such a piece of equipment. It also then suggests I run 4mm cable (can't find) from the SFU to a 3amp Fuse Unit for the lighting circuit - I can't find the 3amp FU either but assume I can use a 13amp FU with a 3amp fuse in it? The same applies for the 6amp Siwtched Fuse Unit which it suggests I use for the pond pump circuit.

I'm thinking I need to buy a newer book?

Any thoughts/comments would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Rob
