I have a Dell laptop, 3 years old. When I browse on internet and click onto a site, sayDaily Telegraph, Daily Mail or suchlike, the web page opens as normal.

It will stay on my screen for a few seconds then it redirects away to a Dell search page which tells me it cannot find the web page I was just on and gives me a list of like sites, but they aren't.

Why would it say it cant find the site when it palpably has, and then takes me away from it. How can I solve this problem.

I am not a wizard on a PC and wonder if any of you out there can help please.

does this happen only in internet explorer and not firefox. If yes then you have a browser hi-jack.

Whilst I agree FF is vastly superior to IE, it is not imune to hijacks.

boxcleva is correct but i am trying to work out if dolph has a hijack on ie only- seems likely

For some reason after two days it has stopped doing it on every page but on the Telegraph online it does it very intermitently - very strange. Anyway thanks for your input, as always your advice is invaluable and very welcome.
