I would like some advice on a couple of things before i go ahead and lay my floor, any help would be appreciated.

1. My extension has a concrete floor which has had two skims of self levelling to even it out. there is a 50mm gap between the floor as it is and the finished height. To make up the difference i was going to screw ply board to the floor and then lay the blocks on top. Would standard ply be ok or would i be better off using marine ply?

2. Would i have to seal the floor with pva prior to laying the blocks?

3. Which adhesive would you reccomend to lay the blocks? The blocks have been cleaned so there in either very little or no bitumen on them.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and i look forward to your advice.

Good quality WBP plywood would be our first choice for this. Screw the sheets every 25cm and do leave a tiny gap between the sheets.

No need to pva the plywood

With the correct notched trowel: Basicoll PU-650SE is a good product for this
