Hi,
Just wondering what do the building regs say about vertical clearances from the top of your stove?
I saw on a website that it said:
"You must have 225mm above the stove to non combustible materials."
For me:
I want to have an Ekol Crystal 12 installed (haven't seen any reviews but like the specs and the price). My recess/hearth complies with building regs in all aspects except from what I saw on one website about the vertical distance. The ekol 12 has a height of 630mm. The distance from my hearth to the stone mantel of my firesurround is about 810mm. The website said you need a clearance of 225mm to a non combustible material.
630mm (Ekol Height) + 225mm (clearance) = 855mm (approx. 50mm too high according to that website).
Basically:
Is the 225mm vertical info correct?
Thanks
