I'm decorating my hallway. This involves saning down all the woodwork on the skirting and doorframes into the hallway.

I've sanded many of them back to the grain and now plan to use Dulux Trade Primer & Undercoat and then finish with Dulux Diamond Satinwood.

I've noticed that there are gaps between the MDF facing of the doorframes and the softwood door lining.

Wanted to know if I should fill these gaps with Some Ronseal Wood Filler that I have and then sand smooth or fill them with caulk.

Here's a photo of the areas concerned.

gaps that run along say the top of the skirtings and archs then i would use decorators chaulk then with a damp sponge wipe the joints over,if any holes major dents in the joinery then use filler then sand down.
thats what i would do.
