Can someone help, I want to lay hardwood floorboards in a bathroom, but I can not seem to find any info on laying, sealing, and care of floor. Am I to believe that you can not treat hardwood timber for use in bathrooms. Any ideas?

In wet/moist areas it's much better to install (hardwood) engineered boards. They are much stabler due to the way their made. You even have load-bearing Wood-Engineered boards nowadays (21mm total thickness) if that's needed (to install directly onto the joists).

Remove toilet-pan, wash basin, skirtings etc before installing the floor. After installation place pan, basin and skirtingborads back. Seal all with transparent silicon to prevent moist getting underneath the wooden floor (even the top of the skirtingboards).

Hope this helps.
