I've laid some flooring boards in the eaves either side of my attic room. I want to enclose it to keep dust levels down. The lining will go from the floor-boards up to the rafters mounted on battens and then screwed to the underside of the rafters.

I was thinking of hardboad because its cheap, but may be liable to warping over time? Would 3mm MDF or 6mm ply be better?
