We would like to install a wood burner with boiler that will provide hot water to a thermal store preferably by gravity and have enough heat output for the room it is located in. We would also like to connect into the thermal store an oil boiler for times when we don't have the burner running, are away, or need a temp boost.

Is this possible or is it so complicated it wouldn't be worth it?
Could the system run on gravity?
What are the ratios for gravity ie if top of tank is say 1 metre higher than woodburner how high and how long horizontally could the pipe run before it hits the tank?
What are the key factors to consider in this situation ?
Could water from stove pass through an upstairs rad before hitting tank or would this just confuse the system?
What are the best but reasonably priced Thermal stores to look out for and what should be avoided?

Thanks for any help

See this . There are other ways of achieving connection, but this is straightforward.
