Hi,
Quick one here, we intend to have a wood burner installed into an existing fireplace & chimney. However, this is not as simple as it sounds. Although we have a chimney breast all the way to the top of the house (house circa 1820), the actual external stack / pot has been removed and the roof extended / patched to cover it.
So, what are our options ? - do we need to have the top of the chimney re-installed ? or can a flexible flue come out to the side of the house near the top ?
Any help would be appreciated.
