wooden double gate and brick post

Hi everybody,
I would to know how to fix a double gate (6 fts high) against a brick post. I'm thinking of using a hook hinge type and glued it with raisin to make strong enought to support the weight. Please advise me.

Glue hinge to brick wall, wait 15mins then hang gate.
