wooden lean to/shelter at attached to rear of property

I need advice please. I have nearly finished building a lean to shelter to the rear of the house near to my neighbours house. I have done it within permitted development but I didn't check properly about building regs. Because its a wooden construction and within 1 metre of the boundary do I need building regs.
