Israel Jackson, from Sandbach Place in London, installed a boiler at the home of a 90-year-old man in Croydon in May 2022 despite not being registered or qualified to do so. He was sentenced to 12 months in prison after pleading guilty to contravening gas safety regulations.

Yup, when it's a non qualified individual doing gas work then it's an out and out criminal offence. Just unfortunate that it takes something that's unsafe and no doubt obvious, like a gas leak etc for these shysters to be found out.

He was working subby, to a company, which took his word on it, that he was qualified, without even checking. So very easy to set a company up, too easy - and it can be made to appear much more substantial, than it actually is, with an impressive website, and impressive claims on the site. That appears to be the case here.

Worryingly, if he hadn't left a smell of gas he'd probably be still fitting them.
