i have a worcester 24 cdi combi boiler,if i drain the radiator system to work on the radiators can i continue to use the boiler for hot water to the sink and bath taps or have i got to refill the radiator system before i can have a hot water supply again.

no, as when yo drain it you reduce pressure so it will not work. 
As above NO unless you want to burn it out, when you refill run on hot water then ch fo a couple of mins each with the gas off but power on just to clear any air out and make shure the dust cap on the auto air vent at the top left is not on tight
