I have a worcester 280 combi boiler, the CH is OK, but occasionally when i run the HW the cutout trip will trip and i have to reset this to get the boiler working again. Does anyone know what may be causing this?
Its overheating. the hot water uses a lot more energy than the ch. possible faults are a blocked water to water heat exchanger, partially blocked gas to water heat exchanger or a very slow pump.All hard to test on a 280 ,best bet is to get Worcester to look at it AS 280 are a bit tricky to test as very little pipe work is exposed to take heat measurements from.
