The user guide for this boiler advises that the central heating control on the boiler should be set to the maximum rated temperature of the central heating system.

How do I find out what the maximum rated temperature of my heating system is? I don't want to turn this control up too high.

Thanks in advance.

Thats bad advice although I know why they say it!

You should set teh Ch temperature to the MINIMUM which will give you acceptable room temperatures.

That will depend on the outside temperature but will usually be between 60 C and 70 C.

The lower you can set it the more efficient the boiler will be!

Tony,

Much appreciated. One further question - do you, or does anyone else, know what the numbers 1-6 equate to in terms of temperature?

Thanks again, David.

No, but its not relevant as all you need to do is operate it at the minimum acceptable!
