feb 2008 fitted 28i junior. pressure has been increasing ever since. they have tried to say that i have'nt flushed it properly. i have and was just wondering if any one else has encountered the same problem. air has been gathering in one upstairs radiator.

What are your radiators made of?
What material is the piping?
What chemicals are in the system?
Are you sure it is air in the radiators upstairs?

Has the braided hose that comes off the expansion vessel been plugged in.????

I'll bet it's not.

Methinks you would have a fair bit of water pi33ing out if that was the case.

Obviously you have never fitted 1 of these you S M A R T A R S E !!!!

The jig has the expansion vessel attached to it.

Once you mount the boiler you then remove a blanking plug from the boiler and then put the braided hose in and then clip it.

If you dont do this you get the exact symptoms the o.p describes.

You are almost right, bar 1.
After that experience I decided to stick with CDI, or HE plus as the predecessor was called. Couldn't say jay or nay to the existence of a plug 5 years later. Fairly sure that if there was a plug on those models, it wasn't one that would withstand 3 bar at 80 degrees though.

would think either filling loop letting by or have known this on a potterton with a pin hole in the heat exchanger, condensate was running a lot on that though

many thanks, no i am an installer, this job was done spot on x100 the lot, what i was after finding out is if any other 28i juniors had this problem. the filling loop is disconnected. these have 2 year guarantee, and i think they are trying to pull a fast one at my expense. pin hole in plate to plate from new i suspect.

so you popped in a bottle of x100 inhibitor,

but did you clean system and be able to prove that after you fitted the new boiler the system water was ok.

cos if manufacturer has been out under warranty for a goosed plate hex
they just about always take a water sample,

if sample shows contaminated water they won`t do warranty repair

I think that if the exp vessel hose hadn't been fitted this problem would've happened sooner, my guess is a cheap towel rail or rad rusting away internally. Have they been topping system pressure up regularly ?

O.P states that it has been happening ever since it was installed.???
