I've got the above boiler and it's due it's first service, the engineer I spoke with about the service said it will just need gas pressures checked and the flue gases checked with a FGA.

I had a look through the manual and says burner will need cleaned etc ?

Cheers

The first few services just require the fan pressure checking, flue gas analysis (and possible gas valve adjustment) and gas rating. A thorough visual check should be taken too. Make sure the flue joint to the sump is ok. If it's a combi or system boiler the vessel air pressure must be checked and topped up.

After a few years it is prudent to carry out a full service...clean the heat exchanger, burner, condensate trap, perhaps replace electrodes etc. Be aware that the cost of the seals/electrodes is around £75.00 and it's a good couple of hours work.

Magic thanks,

Makes sense not to pull it to bits if it's not required then.

Cheers
