having problems starting boiler its a worcester 9/14 cbi its starts the flame for two seconds then stops the fault light then comes on flashes according to manual it means "flame failure" this boiler has not been started for a while as i have just bought the house it is a vented system not pressurised the pump works fine the thermastat and timer work ok also have imersion which works ok so have hot water just no central heating would appreciate any help theres no pressure gauge or shut off for the gas by the boiler

Don't think it's a user manual you want so much as a service. Get a RGI in, it's not a DIY job.
 
if you go on the wb website you can download discontinued boiler paperwork/instructions

Agree with all the above! To check the flame rectification probe etc you have to remove combustion cover, unfortuneately not a job that is safe for you to do!
 
had a 15/19 cbi.just a bigger output but same problem.
1.pcb.
2.water leaking from right side made insulation soggy and fall on sparkers or sensor for flame.
3.air flow device tube blocked partilly.
4.has it gone off with a louder bang before stopped working.
5.ensure gas tap at meter is fully on.

really a job for a registered engineer or the makers espically if leaking water :cry: .
