Since i had a radiator moved and the system partially drained down my boiler occasionally overheats. This can happen on ch or dhw demand and can be very infrequent, week or more apart. No fault code but have physically watched the temp rise to over 100 degrees C before tripping out.I then wait till the boiler cools up to an hour or can fill a little water which cools it quickly and restarts in mins and the problem could not return for days or even a week.I was told it could be air in the system and would clear itself.Radiators all bled. I have noticed when bleeding that the air/water mixture frothy, dont know if this is normal.
The boiler is the 30CDI combi model only 5yrs old
