I have installed about 50 Worcesters either Si or Junior since this time last year.
Have never been back to any yet!, but I have been tp others and I have to say that the full water section is NOT difficult to take out.
If anyone who is saying its not has actually done one then fair enough but after you have done 1 or 2 they are fine. some spare fibre washers for the inlet connections and possibly the two washers from the heat ex flow and return although these are well designed is all you need.
Gas doesnt need to be disturbed at all.
I dont want shouting out of the park for my observations, but we are all sometimes quick to critisise.
If you dont want to take the water block out for the blow off then pull the tundish down disconnect the unions and pull the boiler forward a bit. Its only in with a clip and an O ring which is a lot better than bloody rived up nuts and olives.
Yes but how long will it take you in a few years when the plastics degraded and brittle, and how much will they charge for the manifolds. Seen the state of Saunier Duvalls.....some parts crumble in your hands - no need for tools
Very true guys and yes I remember the 621 and 623 sauniers aswell.
Only time will tell I guess, but for now people are saying they are hard and they are not. In 15 years time I could say that about a lot of boilers.
Even Ecotecs have gone plastic and that and the Ecomax have a rubber pipe to the heat ex!
