Worcester Bosch Boiler problem

mines less than 5 years but not under warranty as we bought the house 2 years ago and the last owner hadn't kept up servicing
Did you ring Worcester re your warranty?

I did and because the installers are complete <insert something very rude here> and refused to fix their poor install (roof leaking around flue) the servicing has been intermittent.

Worcester said I need a service to reinstate the warranty and so charged me £300 (already taken the money) to cover service and repair.

I really hope that that they keep to their word re that being the total.

They're coming on Monday.

Worcester are usually pretty good with this. I've sent a few customers the FPR route... Including one that had never been registered.
They actually registered it for the customer and replaced the Hex FOC!
Pretty darn good service, I have to say.

Still don't like the boilers though!

Ah yeah I looked at the fixed price repair but it sounded like if there were other parts it would be more, not surprised my local plumbers couldn't match it thinking about it, to be fair they did suggest that themselves. Going to call worcester today and see if I can get on the same deal, cheers for updating us

Ok so first off I emailed worcester bosch about this and it sounded like the only option was a fixed price repair with a service plan optional, I still wasn't sure whether it would work out and wasn't in a headspace to deal with all of it so I prevaricated for a week then I rang them up and asked about the warranty, got a great guy on the phone, he said the warranty was never registered, he registered it right there, and because I'd kept up the service history since I moved in a couple of years ago I didn't have to pay anything either. They sent a guy out the next morning and it's back in a working condition. Have to give them props for honoring the warranty even with only a partial service record.

As I said above.
Can't fault what they did for my customer.
