hi there,

this error flashed today, reset it and it went away but...

did some reserach and saw EA this means flame not found

had the electrodes out to check and they are not that dirty, slightly green in colour.

I read it could be the condensate is blocked too, but the bottle looks fairly full, the plastic pipe goes down behind the cupboards so can't see where it ends up.

read that a pcb replacement stops this error, but they are stupidly priced

anyway, just wonder if you have seen this much and what it really meant ?

thanks

We don't give DIY advice here on gas/combustion issues.

Nor do we advise DIYers to open the sealed combustion chamber as you have done!

The correct advice is to call a gas safe registered engineer and to have the boiler properly serviced regularly.

If you have disturbed the seal on the electrodes it will most likely need replacing. Worcester do a one off charge of £262 and that will cover anything on that boiler plus you get 30 days if it should break down again and they will fix it foc.
