Hi folks,

Would truly appreciate any help.

Have a Worcester Greenstar 30SI combo boiler and the digistat will not turn the heating on. It seems that the tenperature can't be raised, so the + button isn't working.

Have tried everything but can't solve it. Boiler isn't old so hoping it is simple to solve. Changed digits at batteries but being unable to use the plus button has meant we can't get any heating.

Any ideas?

Thank you :)

You need to replace the digistat.

In the meantime. You can force the heating to come on by putting the faulty digistat either outside, in the fridge or in the freezer (depending on what temp the stat is stuck at). Basically any place that is colder than the desired temp on the stat. If it is wall mounted you can remove it from the backplate by pushing some lugs with a screwdriver

Or you could push and hold the spanner button on the boiler for 5 secs and turn the heating dial on the boiler to max. This will give you heating for 20 mins. You will have to repeat the process every 20 mins, but at least you will have heating until your digistat is replaced

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond.
Couldn't get the cold theromstat to kick in but the spanner aspect worked. Thank you so much, really appreciate you taking the time and effort to help :)

Purchased a Drayton Digistat +3 but can't figure how to sync it with the boiler. Is this something we would be capable of or do we need to get in a plumber?

Thanks for the help and sorry for our lack of heating knowledge!!

You need to put it in pairing mode. Do you have a separate wireless receiver or is it the one built into the front of the boiler?

It is built into the front of the boiler. We were concerned as the digistat instructions made it look like we needed to take the back off and re-wire part of it to make it work?

I think you may have bought the wrong digistat you need the rf version. It comes with a receiver box too which you won't need because the receiver is built into your boiler.
Has the one you have bought got some connectors on the back if so this is the wired up version.
Once you get the right one go onto Worcester's web site where you can find the instructions on how to pair it to your boiler.

No no no... Go into the part where you change the time. Followed by the date... Then pairing mode is hidden at the end. Have batteries out of the stat before you start. Put it into pairing mode then put batteries in. Job done.

That's not the right thermostat. You have bought the wired version. You need to get the rf version (+3rf). They have it at screwfix

Thanks so much!! Will try again tomorrow. Really appreciate your help

Of course the screen goes off with no batteries! The boiler is the bit where you set the time and date though as I described!

No help if you've bought a Wired stat though...
