Worcester Greenstar 24i System

Hi All,

I have a Greenstar 24i System installed since about 08/09.

Overnight it decided to have a moment and now won't ignite.

Symptoms;

Fan is running, the reset light is flashing, blue power light is on a slow flash.
The pressure was low, and filled back to 1.5 bar.
Checked condensation pipe, clear of ice etc.
Multiple resets yield an effort to startup and then its just the fan going at a slow gentle hum a few seconds later and then constantly running.

The boiler won't ignite, 10 days ago it had a new boiler pump fitted, using a genuine Bosch item, perhaps a red herring but worth mentioning.

Is there anything obvious to check before a call out to my heating engineer?

Call Worcester for a fixed price repair and you will get a years warranty and they will replace nearly everything

You could have a look at the fault finder in the manual for your boiler

Possible faults with slow blue and flashing reset lights is gas valve stuck ( could just give it a few taps with the rubber end of a screwdriver) ...ignition coils shot to pcb fault.

Worcester do have a pretty good service behind them and it is cold....
