Hi

Getting a new boiler installed and had two good quotes for a Worcester Greenstar 25si compact and another for a Vaillant ecotec plus 831. The latter quote is more expensive but not by much and the guy thought that the Greenstar 25 wouldn't perform well enough for us.

I don't want to buy a boiler that will not meet our needs, nor pay for one that's too high spec for our needs.

It's for a 2-bed maisonette, 1 bathroom with shower, 1 downstairs loo, usual white good appliances in the kitchen, for 2 people with a baby on the way.

Flow rate of the Greenstar is 10.2 versus 12.7.

Thanks to any responders!

No competition.... The vaillant is the one to go for provided that you have enough water flow from your supply
