work time scale

Hello, i have just had a sparky come and quote me to do some electrics.
He has given me a time scale for the work and a day rate, i f itell you what the work involves please could some one let me know what the realistic time scale should be please. This is for a new extension.


  • Change consumer unit
    in kitchen fit 8 double sockets
    fused spur for fan
    2x 2gang light switches and 2 light fittings

    out side 1 light
    1 double socket

    bathroom light and shaving light

    bedroom lights and 4 double sockets

I take it that all are new circuits? & not knowing the layout of the place & assuming it's one bloke on his todd & cables are to be clipped direct & not chased in...... I'd go for 3-4 days.
 
3 to 5 days for a bloke providing everything is straight forward.

Stuff like upgrading MEBs will also take time, which is often not allowed for.

He has quoted me about 4-5 days for 1 sparky and his helper, day rate of £200.

That seems fair.....must be paying the helper penuts.
 
thanks for the advice, i will give him a call back in the morn to get him booked in before he changes his mind :)
 
good idea mate,two geezers for 200 a day is bargain of the century :LOL:
