Hello everyone,
I'd be really grateful for some reassurance.
I've done some laminate flooring before, and now I'm doing another room. Before, I was lucky with the room length, where just by using the spare off the last board of a row, to start the next, I still got the recommended minimum 30 cm brick pattern row overlap. This time though, doing that again, it would only be about 23 cm, in the 2.34 m room, for the 1.285 m boards (2.34-1.285-1.285, ie 2 boards, leaving .23m offcut for next row).
Trouble is I'm halfway through now and feeling a bit sick that I've only just realised. I know I could take it all up and start again, and worked out a system of using a same fresh board for the 7 cm longer start of new row, and its offcut at end etc to get the 30 cm. I'm sure the pros know this in their sleep. I really don't want to have to do it though and hoping that someone will say the great words..."23 cm is fine" It looks fine and solid but if 23 is no good then it's start again, oh dear.......
Thanks. Dave.
