would i need planning for velux cabrio windows?

Hi All ,

DOH , you are wrong , it is a wondow although marketed as a 'balcony ' ! It is a large Velux window which closes like a normal velux and is lower than 150 mm when closed .Therefore no planning is required . It just has a rail when open . If you read the rules the only stilpulation is that it does nt protrude more than 150mm when closed .

I checked this with my local planning ( Eaing )and they confirmed this was the case . My architect was wrong in thinking it was not allowed .

BTW THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC AND MEANS I HAVE BRILIANT VEIWS OF HORSENDEN HILL .iIngeniuosly simple design I absolutely love them Alsolove PANORAMINC DOORS!!!

Cheers All
