Wylex CUs

Hey Guys

Anyone used the 17th edition Wylex NM CUs ? Thinking of grabbing a NM1906 w/ some RCBOs but not sure about vertical space. I like my Hagers, but they can be a little cramped

I left the game in 2012, when standard practice was for the manufacturers to shoehorn RCBOs into standard boards designed for MCBs.

Since then I believe there are boards that give extra "headroom".

Or, use compact RCBOs.

I never have a problem fitting Hager RCBOs in their Design 10 boards though.

Yeh don't worry, I'm still using Hager gear. Just need a larger than usual unit for a big property hence looking at the wylex units which are reasonably sized/priced.

Hager do 40way CUs (20+20) - how big do you need?

Larger headroom, not ways, I believe.

I know he wants a CU with decent vertical space, but I took "larger than usual unit for a big property" to mean number of ways, not more vertical space - couldn't see how that would be more important if the house was large.
