I am about to install a Yale Sync Alarm having previously owned a Yale cordless alarm for 10 years. The panel on the old alarm is now faulty but previously has always worked well.
On this new smart alarm how do you disable the tamper feature so that you can change batteries on the sensors and siren etc? Is it disabled whenever the alarm is not armed?
I ask because on the old alarm you had to select management mode on the panel which appears from the basic manual to no longer be the case.
