Never tried it, the shelves always seem to be full in the supermarket as no one seems to be buying it.
No wonder with how much they are charging for it.
Reduce the price by about 150% and Ill try it.

Marmite is weak compared to Asda's own yeast spread which I love.

I'm sure Marmite used to be much stronger than it is now. Must try the ASDA version next time I venture down there.

That's quite odd. For the first time ever, I bought two jars of alternative Marmite.. the Asda and Tesco brands.

Everyone told me they were stronger, but I feel they are slightly weaker. Certainly they are both runnier.

And they taste different too. To me they are very different to Marmite proper, but by no means unpleasant.

Marmite is a thicker, almost toffee like sauce.
I thought the own brand stuff was just less refined than Marmite.

But I guess my taste buds are screwed
